PHA UK is a charitable, not for profit, organization that provides support & education to anybody who's life has been affected by Pulmonary Hypertension (PH). We raise awareness in public and private arenas all over the UK and work with many global support groups. The PHA has the support of many medical professionals and government ministers. We are committed to improving the quality of life of our membership and on occasions this has resulted in individuals being able to start their own businesses. Under exceptional circumstances we have been prepared to purchase essential stock items to allow the development and growth of a particular company. We also buy items to help with our awareness campaigns. We currently have a membership of approximately 2, **0. We have three full-time members of staff and six voluntary Directors/Trustees. We are approaching our tenth anniversary next year. Although eradication of this disease is slim we hope that by raising awareness, improving diagnosis times, medication availability and raising the profile of this rare disease, we will improve the lives of everybody that is affected by it.
