The group was established in Sao Paulo on April *1st, ***0, later moved to Santos. It quickly expanded, opening up new offices at Paranagua, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, Vitoria and Itajai. Other Brazilian ports are covered by the Group through first class sub-agents, with whom it has worked closely over many years. After more than *5 years of activities and growth, the Group now consists of *0 companies directly related to the shipping industry and employs more than **0 experienced shipping people. Our range of services to owners and operators comprises liner and tramp agencies, well experienced in booking and handling general cargoes, containerized or not, as well as the attendance of liquid and solid bulk vessels, reefer ships, gas carriers, container logistics and chartering. For Brazilian shippers and importers we have in recent years established an international logistic service provider under the name of AMBRA LOGISTICA with offices in most of the principal Brazilian cities and ports, which is operating with air, land and sea transportation. AMBRA (Agencia Maritima Brasileira Ltda) also has an independent agency organization, mainly aimed to bulk and break-bulk services but also acting as front offices for container lines. In the line with global trend to create "added values" for VIP customers, the TRANSCAR GROUP, through the offices at Paranagua, Santos and Rio de Janeiro, is publishing and distributing comprehensive annual reviews of movements of grain and sub-products, vegetable oils, sugar, iron ore, coal and coke, as well as updating ports, maritime terminals and port costs.
