Timestone Goods was born from the Taiwanese cultural renaissance. Over the last decade, the concept of–‡‰µ (Weng Chuan) has blossomed and spread throughout the entire island. Weng Chuan refers generally to the industry of culture. This industry of culture spans throughout all aspects of life, from food, to religion, to celebration, to clothing, to language. Weng Chuan is traditional Taiwanese methods and materials, but it is also a collaboration with modernity. 


Timestone Goods is taking the concept of Weng Chuan and turning it into action. We respect the throughline of our cultural past and design with modernity in mind. Timestone Goods was born in ***2 from the Ministry of Culture€™s Cultural and Creative Industry Entrepreneurship Dream Realization Project.


The products of Weng Chuan are a key piece in promoting Taiwanese culture. However, as local culture becomes ubiquitous around the island, local characteristics lose their value, historical context, and rich meaning. At Timestone Goods we preserve our culture heritage by connecting experienced producers and manufacturers with new and dynamic designers all within the city of Tainan, our homebase. Through the methods of master manufacturers and the youthful creatives of Tainan we are able to bring products to life with a distinctively Tainanese feel. We aim to leverage the industrious nature of Tainan while also innovating through our distinct identity and unique techniques.
