WEAVERS STUDIO Though we have enjoyed a market presence in India for close to a decade and an international presence for seven years now, we would like you to know a little more about us. Weavers Studio brings out the richness of traditional textiles and weaves which showcase the vivid Indian design vocabulary by according modern cuts to handcrafted contemporary wearable textiles. We specialise in the application of natural dyes, mud resist, block printing, potato starch resist, clamp resist, wax batik, acid and discharge printing techniques. Having added colour to craft, we offer diverse options of surface decorations and embellishments, from kantha, tribal embroidery to kalamkari. Our three production units together employ close to **0 craftsperson producing approximately **0 metres of hand dyed, hand painted, hand block printed and tie dye cloth a day and another **0 craftsperson are employed in the vicinity of Calcutta for weaving, embroideries, surface decorations and tailoring. In addition to catering to the needs of our nation-wide clientele, We have been exporting for the last five years through our exporting arm 'Veda Commercial Pvt. Ltd.'under the brand name 'Weavers Studio'. Weavers have regularly held exhibitions in major galleries of various metropolitan cities. Weavers Studio has participated in international fairs such as Pret-a-Porter (Paris), Interstoff (Germany), and India Garment Fair, (Osaka, Japan) reiterating the presence and glory of Indian textiles and traditional craft in the global arena. The Studio has been conducting extensive studies in Natural Dyes especially Indigo, and is also a member of various esteemed organisations and bodies of international repute, promoting the cause of textiles and fabrics in ancient and modern designs. Our collection comprises of specialised hand woven pure and blended yarn in fabrics, stoles, scarves, shawls, patch scrolls, art textiles and garments. The unique hand spun hand woven khadi fabric, pure wool, muga, fine counts. Cotton, silks, wild tussar, linen, and jamdani is presented in innovative creations inspired by seasons, ethnic tribes, across the border cultures and contemporary techniques.
