  Zhejiang Medicines and Health Products Import and Export Co. ltd (hereinafter briefly called ZMC) is a professional foreign trade company  at provincial level, founded  in June, ***9 on the basis of former  Zhejiang Medicines and Health products Import and Export Corporation  restructured as a unit. ZMC belongs to Zhejiang International Business Group Co., Ltd (hereinafter briefly called ZIB), which is the major shareholder of ZMC and controlled in fact by Zhejiang State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission .By the end of August, ***2, the registered capital of ZMC is RMB *0 million, staff member of **3, total asset of RMB 1.*8 billion and net asset of RMB **7 million, respectively.

    Ever since the restructuring, all staffs of ZMC work together with one heart .In the team spirit of“ putting people in the foremost place ,  keeping on forging ahead” and through the adoption of a series of measures in property right reform, incentive mechanism innovation, regulatory management improvement, business scope expansion ZMC has achieved a stable development over a decade featured with a multi-winning pattern of a year-on-year expansion of business scale ,solid increase of economic results and effects, consecutive value addition to the stated-owned asset  and an apparent income growth for the staff members.     ZMC handles the import and export and wholesale  businesses  for the commodities of the following categories: Western Medicines, such as Pharmaceutical Raw Materials and Intermediates ,Western Medicines and Biochemical Products; Medical Instruments including  hospital diagnostic Devises, Pharmaceutical Machinery, Surgical  and Dressing  Materials, Disposable Supplies and Medical Textiles; Traditional Chinese Medicines including  Chinese Medicinal Materials , Prepared Slices of Chinese Crude Drugs and Chinese Patent Medicines, Foodstuffs and Ingredients; Nutrition and Health Food including Plant and Animate   Extracts, Health Products, Dietary Supplements ,Foodstuff and Feed Additives; Fine Chemicals including Agrochemicals, Dyestuffs and Pigments, Chemical Auxiliaries and Additives, Basic (Bulk) Chemicals, Special and Custom Synthesis.

ZMC has been improving constantly its management systems and standardizing business operational procedures so as to raise the quality of service and the products handled. In early ***1 ZMC had ISO***1:***0 quality system certified, obtained GSP Certificate, business licenses for medicines, medical instruments and dangerous chemicals as well as foreign licenses for some of our export products, laying a solid foundation for business development. The business philosophy of “attach great importance to contract, abide by commercial integrity, raise work efficiency and dedicatedly provide our customers with premium service” has taken root in the minds of all the staffs, and the performance of which has gained a good corporate image for ZMC.

    ZMC has, guided by the plan of ZIB along with its own features, determined the general development route to be followed with the efforts for the implementation of “shifts from three perspectives”: First, shift towards the export of high –end chemical and pharmaceutical products. Efforts will be focused on the structure adjustment for the export product, expanding market and enlarging our main business of export so as to shape our company’s comparative and competitive advantages. While  consolidating and expanding the export of pharmaceutical raw materials and fine chemicals  we will enhance the export magnitude on high value added  products of Chinese and Western Finished Drugs, Bio and Biochemical Products ,  medical instruments, traditional Chinese medicinal materials, Chinese medicinal decoction pieces, extracts taken from animals and plants and health food;. Second, shift towards the combination of import and export and the simultaneous handling of domestic and foreign businesses. We will explore domestic business by using our import and export resources available. Third, shift towards the integration of production, supply and sales. We will make further industrial investments based on our viable financial strength and the export needs, and gradually raise the purchasing portion for export from our invested companies. At the same time, we will make it an important item on our agenda in cultivating famous export products and brands that will uplift our core competitiveness.
