AQUAMITE is a low inclusion pellet binder and hardener for use in fish and shripm feed. The principle active ingredients in AQUAMITE is a synthetic binder that has been used worldwide in aquatic feeds for pelleted and extruded aquatic feeds for more than two decades. Pellet quality is of considerable importance in aquaculture. As finished feeds are high in protein there is limited natural carbohydrate binding available. Pellets that break down in the water not only waste valuable nutrients but are degraded by bacteria, increasing the Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) as well as introducing an additional risk of pathogen survival.
