DAAM is a white or slightly yellow flake crystal. It is an important vinyl monomer. The homopolymer produced by polymerization is insoluble in water, but has "water respiration". The water absorption can reach 20-25% of the self weight of the resin, and when the ambient humidity is lower than 60%, the water absorbed by the polymer will be released. The water plays a role of plasticizer for the polymer.
