Surimi industrial technology developed by Japan in the early ***0s promoted the growth of the surimi industry. At that time, frozen surimi was one of newest seafood product and was estimated to be a semi-finised seafood product with a high adhesive.

Nowadays, surimi is produced from many countries around the world and to become a commonly named for frozen lean meat from fish or land animals.
