New types of rare-earth based surface treatment agent (WOT Series)

WOTs can be used for surface treatment of a wide variety of inorganic fine and ultra-fine powers. The treatment of inorganic filter with WOTs can greatly improve the hydrophobicity of filler surface by physical absorption and chemical reaction, which resulting in considerably enhanced compatibility and dispersion of filler in nonpolar polymer matrix. When preparing the polymer/filler composites, the utilizing of WOTs treatment can remarkably enhanced the toughness and processability of polymer composites even at higher filler loading.
