Ⅲ  Physicochemical Properties
Poly Anionic Cellulose has good heat stability, salt resistance and antimicrobial resistance. As the Mud fluid formulated by PAC has good fluid loss, suppression, high temperature resistance, PAC is widely used in oil drilling, especially in salt water wells and offshore oil drilling.
a) High Degree of Substitution: The D.S value is 0.*5 to 1.4.
b) Thermal stability :
-Its aqueous solution performs stable under *0 ℃. when the temperature is close to **0 ℃, it can still displayed a certain viscosity for about *8hours.
c) Salt，Acid and Alkalis resistance :
-PAC has a stable performance when PH value ranges from 3 to *1 and can be applied in various kinds of extremely harsh conditions.
d) Good Compatibility:
-Be compatible with other cellulose ethers, water soluble gum, softeners, resins, etc;
-Gradually show oil-soluble when its D.S value exceeds 1.2.
e) Good Solubility :
*-Be quickly dissolved in cold or hot water by using simple stirring equipment.
*-PAC dissolves faster in hot water.
*-Instant dissolve type PAC can fully dissolved in a few minutes, it greatly improves the usage convenience and producing efficiency.
