SafeWood is a chemical compound that has ingredients used to bind to and neutralize the hazardous effects of arsenic. To protect your family from the long term hazards of CCA arsenic, the Armourtek group has created a new environmentally safe simple to apply product known as SafeWood that can be purchased in **1/2 and *-gallon quantities and which is applied with a conventional garden sprayer. Once it absorbs (apply until saturated) into the wood's surface, SafeWood effectively locks up the arsenic found in CCA treated lumber, thereby reducing the risk of exposure from wood patios, playground equipment and structures, boat docks, roof support posts, and wooden stockade fences. For maximum protection where CCA has ready leached into the soil, you should use a companion environmentally safe Armourtek product, LOCKDOWN, which binds with the arsenic in the soil below CCA wood structures.
