Vladimir Karabegov Art Tile

This is a set of original paintings by Vladimir Karabegov, professionally printed to standard four inch ceramic tiles that are install-ready for bathroom, kitchen, or anywhere you want to put them. 

Vladimir is a friend of mine who lives in Ailene Texas and is predominantly an impressionist portrait artist who wanders the streets and internet abducting other wandering souls to draw and paint then tends to immediately give away the originals after shooting them very badly with the cheapest cracker jacks cellphone camera imaginable so he can post these atrocities online where I have express permission to retrieve them for attempted digital correction, enhancement, and product sourcing. 

The people featured on this tile set are Pavel Soloxyan, Erin Curry of Deep Ellum, Martha Danielle Shober, and Amy Michelle Claudie. 

These photos don't come close to offering justice to the in person beauty of these tiles which I have manufactured professionally through a private company. One hundred percent authentic Vladimir Karabegov in vibrant color.

These four images are currently the only ones I have manufactured so far so don't ask me for a catalog. This is it. Installation and care instructions are included.

Vladimir Karabegov is an Abilene Texas street famous outsider artist known predominantly for impressionist portrait drawings and paintings. 

When I met him, he'd been collecting bad photographs of originals which had since been given away either to the portrait subject or random strangers, that were shot with a low resolution flip phone camera and posted online. 

So after obtaining his permission to retrieve, edit, and product source these images, I mosied over to a tile printing company online and uploaded a sample collection of my edits. It turns out they were good enough for four inch tiles and no bigger so I printed the four tiles you see here and they came out beautiful.

Abilene is a small city with no real reception for art, and the city where I currently live is also very small and not a hotspot for art culture so for the time being the internet is my local promotion medium for this. I'm generally not into advertising otherwise, but like I said I don't live in a prestigious area at this time so buying a boost is how I'm getting the word out.

A couple people I showed these to out here said it's weird because they're portraits of strangers. So that's where I am, a small town where people have no concept of art. I'll take them to the art center and have them displayed behind glass and that's where they'll stay indefinitely unless and until they're sold or I just tile my own bathroom.
