Incorporating standard TDMoIP pseudowire technology, the IPmux**4 TDM access gateway transparently delivers E1/T1, serial and Ethernet traffic over packet-switched transport. In addition to E1/T1 extension and serial data communications, the IPmux**4 is primarily used in cellular backhaul applications, guaranteeing 2G/3G service delivery over PSN with high precision clock recovery attributes. Further Product Information The IPmux**4 gateway converts TDM user traffic data streams from the E1/T1 or serial ports into IP packets or MPLS frames for transmission over the packet-switched network (PSN), via a *0Mbps or **0Mbps Ethernet uplink. Another pseudowire gateway at the remote site converts the packets back to TDM traffic. Employing TDMoIP standard pseudowire format, the IPmux**4 takes advantage of new IP/Ethernet/MPLS networks to deliver TDM-based voice, fax, modem, and data services without compromising traditional PSTN quality. Integrated access IPmux**4 offers integrated, Layer *-based access for TDM and Ethernet services. Enabling transparent bridging between the user LAN and the Ethernet WAN, user traffic can be rate-limited, tagged and filtered (based on VLAN classification), while double VLAN tagging (VLAN stacking) can be applied to better engineer the network and allow a granular bandwidth offering.
